Hi, my name is Bex.

I founded Roam with Bex to share my journey through writing useful tips, tricks and blog posts in the hope that it would inspire others to consider working seasonal jobs - whether as a career break, or as a new career.

In 2019, I had a wake-up call when I realised I was on autopilot in a 9-5 job I was not passionate about. The challenge? I was uncertain what I truly wanted, but I knew there had to be more to life than my current situation. Leaving the rat race was daunting, and the past five years have been a whirlwind of highs, lows, and moments of confusion. My life has been turned upside down more than once, teaching me that there’s no single 'right way' to live, so I might as well have fun along the way.

I thought that if I felt the urge to completely change my career, others might feel the same way. So, I brushed aside all the doubts about starting this business and launched Roam with Bex anyway.
