Welcome to my travel journal...

This page is dedicated to all the places I have visited over the years that have inspired my art and given me memories that I' will never forget.  I am forever thankful for the opportunities travel has given me and the confidence it has given me to navigate things solo and discover new things about who I am! I would implore you to see what the world has to offer - whether with friends or alone. Doing it scared is better than never doing it.

Bali & Lombok - Nov/Dec 25'

Last November, I decided to repack my bags and put some very expensive (and last-minute) flights on my credit card to Denpasar, Bali. Winter was looming, and I had a unique opportunity to catch my younger brother, who was on a 3-month trip to Indonesia, so it was impossible to say no.

A week later, I arrived in CRAZY Canggu - it truly is a zoo there now. However, if you want amazing gyms, brunch and nightlife, it will be the place for you! We were swiftly excited to head up to Uluwatu with a simple mission to explore, eat well, find some cool gyms and teach Jubs how to surf. Hanging out with my brother brought back such fond childhood memories, and it was truly special to have one-on-one time with him. We realised we hadn't spent that much quality time together since we were children.

After Bali, we hopped on the slow ferry to Lombok (I have a fear of speed boats, so we took the more leisurely route). We arrived at the ferry port to be greeted by our younger sister Em, who took us to Gerupuk (south Lombok), where she resides. The main reason for the visit was to visit her new cafe @Geng  (I wrote a separate piece all about it here). Our trip to Lombok was all about taking it easy, sleeping, surfing, doing lots of drawing, eating well and spending time with each other. It was a really memorable, cortisol-lowering trip, and we had a fab time. Here are a few snap shots...

Maine, USA - summer 25'

Prior to Indonesia, I spent my summer working in Maine, USA (sat just below the Canadian border). I worked as a swim coach at a summer camp, which is probably one of the best jobs I have ever had. I have now spent five summers working at the camp over the course of 12 years! I first started working there when I was 18 years old and have gone back throughout the years whenever I could. It is basically my second home as I have practically grown up there.

It has long been one of my favourite ways to decompress and spend quality time off my phone and disconnect from reality. It's not every day that you get to spend two months hanging out with your favourite people and laughing SO hard every, single, day (I am not joking, it is class).

Prior to camp, I visited New York for a mini solo break and ended up bumping into a friend along the way, which was so fun.

Morzine, France - Winter 25'

I started the year working for a Chalet company in wonderful Morzine for the second season. I honestly LOVE Morzine... It's like the more down-to-earth version of Tignes, with things to do all year round, plus great places to eat and lots of activities to do when the snow isn't optimal (which is often...) I was very lucky to work in a lovely chalet cheffing alongside an absolutely lovely host. We had such a laugh and got to ski five to six times a week. The crew was so much fun and all very good skiers, so I had my work cut out!

I managed to draw whenever I could, but ski seasons are hectic, so when I wasn't working or skiing, I was most definitely eating or sleeping. What I love most about working seasonal jobs is that you get to spend every day outside, exercising, breathing in fresh air and being around like-minded people. It is the most amazing thing for my mental health! Although I am not doing a season in 25/26 I will definitely look at doing one in 26/27, hehe!
