Hi, I'm Bex...
a curious, single, 32-year-old living an 'unconventional' life who loves to ski, travel, paint and tell stories.
I founded Roam with Bex to share my journey of seasonal work in the hope that it would inspire others to consider taking a leap of faith and to start living a life that they actually want, rather than one they think they should be living.
In 2019, I had a wake-up call when I realised I was on autopilot, working a 9-5 job I was no longer passionate about, drinking too much and dating all the wrong people. The challenge? I was uncertain what I truly wanted, but I knew that there had to be more to life than my current situation. So one day I decided to quit my job and leave behind my life in London to do my first ski season, which was incredibly daunting, but also very liberating. I was absolutely terrified, but had a small fire burning in my belly that told me I was making the right decision. Since that moment, the past five years have been a whirlwind of highs, lows, and moments of complete and utter confusion! My life has been turned upside down more than once, teaching me that there’s no single 'right way' to live, so I might as well have fun along the way.
I thought that if I felt the urge to completely change my career, others might feel the same way. So, I brushed aside all the doubts about starting this business and launched Roam with Bex anyway.
